Humans are historically bad at detecting fraud and our accuracy is only marginally better than chance. This is largely to blame on human nature, on intuition. With the development of technology comes new fraud scams. However, technology can also be put to work to fight fraud. This can include receiving notifications from your mobile phone, dismissing false statements on social media and reviewing scam story lines in emails.
